BTP - Bile Acids and Related Substances Analysis Service

Bile acids, known as BA in English, are the main organic components of bile and are a collective term for several structurally similar steroid acids. Based on their origin, bile acids can be divided into primary and secondary bile acids. Primary bile acids are synthesized directly by liver cells, while secondary bile acids are products formed after processing by intestinal bacteria and undergoing enterohepatic circulation. Cholic acid, chenodeoxycholic acid, glycocholic acid, taurocholic acid, glycochenodeoxycholic acid, and taurochenodeoxycholic acid are primary bile acids. Deoxycholic acid, lithocholic acid, glycodeoxycholic acid, taurodeoxycholic acid, glycolithocholic acid, and taurolithocholic acid are secondary bile acids.

BiotechPack utilizes ACQUITY UPLC/TripleQuad5500 (Waters/AB Sciex) LC/MS/MS to perform quantitative and qualitative analysis on over 90 bile acids and related substances using bile acid isotope standards. The use of standards and isotope standards for 95% of the substances involved significantly improves the accuracy of qualitative and quantitative analysis.

Blood samples, bile, etc.: 10 microliters

Sample Transportation:Calculate with 3-4 kilograms of dry ice evaporating in one day. Please use sufficient dry ice for transportation (it is recommended to choose larger blocks of dry ice as they evaporate more slowly) and seal with a foam box. Additionally, choose faster shipping methods to reduce the possibility of sample degradation during transport.
