Lipidomics Research
Lipids are a large class of compounds in nature that are highly soluble in organic solvents and chemically and structurally heterogeneous. They mainly include fatty acids and their naturally occurring derivatives (such as esters or amines), as well as compounds related to their biosynthesis and function. The important biological functions of lipids and their relationship with diseases, combined with the development of genomics, proteomics, and metabolomics, have given rise to a new research field called lipidomics. Lipidomics is a discipline that involves comprehensive and systematic analysis and identification of lipids in organisms, tissues, or cells and the molecules interacting with them, aiming to understand the structure and function of lipids and reveal the relationship between lipid metabolism and physiological and pathological processes of cells, organs, and even the whole organism. Due to the diversity and complexity of lipid molecular structures, research on the complex metabolic networks and functional regulation of lipids in living organisms has been stagnant. In recent years, the development of mass spectrometry techniques, especially soft ionization techniques and high-resolution mass spectrometry in lipid analysis, has provided strong technical support for lipidomics research. Sample Requirements
Lipidomics Sample Requirements
1. For protein extraction, ordinary tissue or cell lysis buffer can be used.
2. Sample transportation: Please use an adequate amount of dry ice for transportation and choose a faster delivery method to minimize the possibility of sample degradation during transportation.
3. Before the formal experiment, we will conduct a test on the samples you provide. The formal experiment will commence once the samples pass the test.
