Fatty Acids and Fatty Acid Metabolism
BTP - Fatty Acids and Fatty Acid Metabolism Related Substance Analysis
Fatty acids are a class of carboxylic acid compounds, composed of hydrocarbon groups of carbon and hydrogen atoms connected to carboxylic acids. Fatty acids are divided into three categories: The first is saturated fatty acids, whose hydrocarbon groups are composed of alkane groups with single bonds. The second is monounsaturated fatty acids, whose hydrocarbon groups contain an alkene group with one carbon-carbon double bond. The third is polyunsaturated fatty acids, whose hydrocarbon groups contain multiple carbon-carbon double bonds. The groups on both sides of the double bond in natural fats are oriented in the same direction, forming cis fatty acids. Therefore, the fatty acids in natural oils in unprocessed foods are mostly cis fatty acids. Naturally occurring trans fatty acids are relatively less common, mainly found in the fat and milk of ruminants like cows and sheep. Triglycerides, formed from glycerol and three molecules of long-chain fatty acids, are the main components of fat.BTP utilizes GC/MS (7890A/5975C) as the primary detection method, combined with various fatty acid isotope standards, to achieve quantitative and qualitative analysis of more than 40 fatty acids, significantly improving the accuracy of qualitative and quantitative analysis while greatly enhancing throughput and stability.
BTP can detect fatty acids and fatty acid metabolism-related substances
BTP's technicians, with years of technical accumulation, use GC/MS (7890A/5975C) as the main detection method, combined with various fatty acid isotope standards, to achieve quantitative and qualitative analysis of more than 40 fatty acids:

About Samples
Serum, plasma, urine, bile, bile acids;Cells, liver, brain tissues, and other animal tissues, as well as feces, etc.;
Plants, yeast, microorganisms, etc.
Sample Requirements:
Blood samples, bile, etc.: 10 microliters
Various tissues: 10 milligrams
Feces, etc.: 10 milligrams
For other sample types and quantities, please contact BTP sales.
Sample Transportation:Calculating based on 3-4 kg of dry ice evaporating in a day, please use sufficient dry ice for transportation (it is recommended to use larger blocks of dry ice, as larger blocks evaporate more slowly), and seal with a foam box. Additionally, opt for faster postal services to minimize the possibility of sample degradation during transportation.
Bilingual Project Report (Chinese/English)
In the technical report, BTP will provide you with a detailed bilingual technical report in both Chinese and English, including:1. Experimental Procedures (Chinese/English)
2. Relevant Mass Spectrometry Parameters (Chinese/English)
3. Quantitative or Qualitative Information of Identified Substances
4. Mass Spectrometry Images
5. Raw Data
