HPLC Protein Purity

High Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC) is an analytical chemistry technique used to separate, identify, and quantify each component in a mixture. It relies on high-pressure pumps to pass liquid containing the sample mixture through a column filled with solid adsorbent material. Each component in the sample interacts slightly differently with the adsorbent material, resulting in different flow rates for the different components, which leads to the separation of the components as they exit the column.

Protein purity is an important physicochemical parameter in protein analysis research. Impure protein samples may lead to inaccurate experimental results, affecting further protein analysis. HPLC is used for protein purity identification primarily based on the chromatogram detected by the detector. The number of specific absorption peaks in the chromatogram is used for judgment. HPLC can detect minor proteins with abundance less than 0.1 µg, offering high sensitivity, making it a relatively accurate method for protein purity determination. Additionally, by altering the interaction between the desired protein and the stationary phase matrix, the elution of target proteins can be easily controlled under different forms of HPLC techniques. High-performance liquid chromatography has proven to have an extremely broad role in the separation and purification of proteins and peptides with varying sources, quantities, and complexities.

Baitaike Biotech, with an advanced chromatography platform combined with a professional technical team, provides efficient and rapidHPLCprotein purity identificationservicestechnical package, which can be used for the separation and determination of various protein/peptide samples, meeting the purity analysis needs of various protein/peptide samples.
