BTP-Carotenoid Analysis
Carotenoids are a class of organic pigments found in the chloroplasts or chromoplasts of plants, some photosynthetic algae, and certain types of bacteria and fungi. Carotenoids belong to the tetraterpenoid organic pigment molecules. Animals cannot synthesize carotenoids (although it is known that one type of aphid has acquired the ability to synthesize carotenoids, specifically torulene, due to a gene for 'torulene desaturase' acquired through horizontal gene transfer from fungi). Animals obtain carotenoids through their diet via various metabolic pathways.BiotechPack has established an analytical method based on ACQUITY UPLC/TripleQuad5500 (Waters/AB Sciex) that can realize quantitative and qualitative analysis of multiple carotenoid substances.

Sample Transport:Considering the evaporation of 3-4 kilograms of dry ice per day, please use sufficient dry ice for transport (it is recommended to use larger blocks of dry ice as they evaporate more slowly) and seal with a foam box. Try to choose faster postal services to reduce the possibility of sample degradation during transport.
