Non-targeted Metabolomics Testing Program Promotion - February [2020]
Untargeted Metabolomics primarily involves comparing the metabolomes (the complete set of metabolites) of control and experimental groups to identify differences in their metabolites. These differences aid in research on disease pathogenesis, effective formulation treatment mechanisms, and more.
Based on previously published literature, BiotechPack has established a high-resolution GC-MS and LC-MS chromatography-mass spectrometry platform and a bioinformatics analysis platform for metabolomics, providing precise untargeted metabolomics analysis services. You only need to provide the experimental objectives and samples, and we will handle all subsequent matters (including sample preparation, mass spectrometry analysis, raw data analysis, bioinformatics analysis, etc.).

About Samples
The physicochemical properties and concentrations of metabolites in different biological samples vary greatly, so there is no single method for sample collection and preparation that is suitable for all metabolites.
1. Plant samples: Quickly freeze in liquid nitrogen after collection, then store at -80°C.
2. Animal tissues: Quickly collect and freeze in liquid nitrogen, then store at -80°C.
3. Microbial and cell samples: Quickly quench metabolic activity (quenching) while keeping cells intact.
4. Fecal samples: Immediately store at -80°C after collection.
5. Biological fluids
● Plasma: Quickly pre-treat after sampling, such as adding anticoagulants and preservatives, and immediately freeze (-80°C).
● Serum: Collect blood in a centrifuge tube, let it stand for 30 minutes, centrifuge, collect the supernatant, and store at -80°C.
● Urine: Directly aliquot into centrifuge tubes, 1ml per tube, add one drop (about 10ul) of sodium azide with a mass volume of 1/100 (w/v), and freeze at -80°C for shipping.
● Cerebrospinal fluid: Immediately centrifuge after collection and store at -80°C.
