Differential Metabolite Cluster Analysis
In order to evaluate the rationality of candidate metabolites and more comprehensively and intuitively display the relationships between samples and the differences in expression patterns of metabolites in different samples, we conducted hierarchical clustering on the expression levels of qualitatively significant differential metabolites across sample groups. This helps us accurately screen for marker metabolites and study changes in related metabolic processes. Generally, when the selected candidate metabolites are reasonable and accurate, samples from the same group can cluster in the same cluster. At the same time, metabolites clustered within the same cluster have similar expression patterns and may be involved in reaction steps that are relatively close in the metabolic process. The figure below shows the hierarchical clustering results of significant differential metabolites.
