Amino Acid/Urea Cycle
BTP - Amino Acid/Urea Cycle Metabolite Analysis
The metabolism of amino acids derived from protein hydrolysis in the body involves two main aspects: On one hand, they are primarily used to synthesize the body's unique proteins, peptides, and other nitrogen-containing substances; on the other hand, they can be broken down into α-keto acids, amines, and carbon dioxide through deamination, transamination, combined deamination, or decarboxylation. The α-keto acids produced from amino acid breakdown can be converted into sugars, lipids, or resynthesized into certain non-essential amino acids. They can also be oxidized into carbon dioxide and water via the tricarboxylic acid cycle, releasing energy. The urea cycle (urea cycle), also known as the ornithine cycle, is a cyclic metabolic pathway in the liver where two molecules of ammonia (one free molecule, one from aspartic acid) and one molecule of CO2 generate one molecule of urea. The urea cycle was the first cyclic metabolic pathway discovered, proposed by H. Krebs and K. Henseleit in 1932.Baitai Park uses the combined platform of GC/MS (Agilent 7890A/5975C) and LC/MS/MS (AB Sciex 5500). This allows for quantitative and qualitative analysis of over 56 amino acid metabolism and urea cycle metabolites, with 95% of the substances being quantified using standards and isotope standards.

About Samples
Serum, plasma, urine, bile, bile acids;
Cells, liver, brain tissue, and other animal tissues, as well as feces, etc.;
Plants, yeast, microorganisms, etc.
Sample Requirements:
Blood samples, bile, etc.: 10 microliters
Various tissues: 10 milligrams
Feces, etc.: 10 milligrams
For other sample types and quantities, please contact Baitai Park sales.
Sample Transportation:Calculating with 3-4 kg of dry ice evaporating in one day, please use a sufficient amount of dry ice for transportation (it is recommended to use larger pieces of dry ice, as they evaporate more slowly), and seal with a foam box. Also, choose a faster delivery method to minimize the possibility of sample degradation during transportation.
