Protein-protein interactions refer to the phenomenon where two or more proteins, or proteins and other compounds, bind together to form large molecular protein complexes. Proteins can perform more complex and diverse biological functions through interactions with other proteins or compounds, participating in various important physiological activities. Under normal circumstances, interactions between proteins are constantly in dynamic change, and some protein interactions are weak and transient. Therefore, the core content of protein-protein interaction research includes effectively capturing interacting proteins and subsequently characterizing them qualitatively and quantitatively.
