BTP-Thiol Compounds Analysis

Thiols are a class of non-aromatic compounds containing the thiol functional group (-SH). They are organic sulfur compounds and can be viewed as alcohols where oxygen is replaced by sulfur. Thiols are more acidic than the corresponding alcohols and can dissolve in sodium hydroxide ethanol solution to form relatively stable salts, which revert to thiols upon the introduction of carbon dioxide. Thiols can form water-insoluble thiolates with some heavy metal salts due to their soft-soft interactions. The toxicity of many heavy metal ions in the body is due to their ability to bind with the thiol groups of biomolecules. On the other hand, thiols (such as dimercaptopropionic acid) can be used to detoxify heavy metal ions by forming insoluble precipitates and excreting them through urine.

Sample Transportation:Considering a 3-4 kilogram dry ice evaporation per day, please use an adequate amount of dry ice for transportation (it is recommended to use larger blocks of dry ice as they evaporate more slowly), and seal with a foam box.
