Metabolic Bone Disease

Metabolic bone disease refers to bone disorders caused by congenital or acquired factors that disrupt or interfere with normal bone metabolism and biochemical states, leading to bone biochemical metabolic disorders. The pathogenesis of metabolic bone disease includes abnormalities in bone resorption, bone growth, and mineral deposition. Increasing numbers of cytokines have been found to be associated with bone remodeling and metabolic processes. For example, IL-1α, IL-1β, TNFα, and TNFβ are strong stimulators of bone resorption and important inhibitors of bone formation. IL-6 is synthesized by osteoblasts (OB), and parathyroid hormone (PTH) can stimulate OB to secrete IL-6, promoting the differentiation and proliferation of osteoclasts (OC). In the early stages of OC formation and differentiation, the mediating role of colony-stimulating factor (CSF) is crucial.

About Samples

1. Only 25µL of sample is needed, whereas conventional ELISA requires 50µL or 100µL of sample.
