Biomarkers
BTP-Biomarker Analysis
Biomarkers are indicators of the presence or absence of pollutants and the biological response to them, measured through various reactions of bodily fluids, cells, and tissues using biochemical, immunological, genetic, and other methods. Biomarkers are highly sensitive and directly reflect the endpoint reactions of target cells or molecules within the organism. The detection results can indicate whether cells and tissues within an organism have been exposed to excessive pollutants, whether environmental pollutants have induced toxic effects on biological targets, and whether these toxic effects have triggered a chain reaction at the population, community, or ecosystem level.Biotopark has established an analysis method centered on ACQUITY UPLC/TripleQuad5500 (Waters/AB Sciex), which enables quantitative and qualitative analysis of multiple biomarkers.
Biomarkers are a necessary supplement to conventional biological detection methods and, when used in conjunction, can form a complete biomonitoring system. A comprehensive monitoring system requires consideration of biological effects at various organizational levels, including individual or sub-individual levels, as well as population and community levels, in addition to chemical detection. Advanced proteomics technologies can be used to identify relevant biomarkers in samples. Surface-enhanced laser desorption/ionization time-of-flight mass spectrometry (SELDI-TOF-MS) can screen for disease-related biomarkers, reverse-phase high-performance liquid chromatography (RP-HPLC) can be used for sample separation and purification, and matrix-assisted laser desorption/ionization time-of-flight mass spectrometry (MALDI-TOF-MS) can track target proteins. Potential protein biomarkers can be identified using liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry (LC-MS/MS).
BTP can detect biomarker substances
Biotopark technicians, with years of technical accumulation, use ACQUITY UPLC/TripleQuad5500 (Waters/AB Sciex) combined with multiple biomarker and related substance analysis standards, as well as isotope standards of biomarkers and related substances, for quantitative and qualitative analysis:
Meat Biomarker Analysis Service List
About Samples
Serum, plasma, urine, bile, bile acid;Cells, liver, brain tissue, and other animal tissues, as well as feces;
Plants, yeast, microorganisms, etc.
Sample Requirements:
Blood samples, bile, etc.: 10 microliters
Various tissues: 10 milligrams
Feces, etc.: 10 milligrams
For other sample types and quantities, please contact Biotopark sales.
Sample Transport:Based on the evaporation of 3-4 kilograms of dry ice per day, please use an adequate amount of dry ice for transportation (it is recommended to use larger pieces of dry ice as they evaporate more slowly), and seal with a foam box. Choose the fastest possible delivery method to minimize sample degradation during transport.
